How to hide a folder using command prompt?

You have a folder with name "pictures" which is in "E" drive and you want others should not see this folder. You can simply hide it using the following steps
Press Windows key + Run.
Run command will appear. There type cmd and hit enter.

This will open Command prompt ,Now Type

"attrib +s +h E:\Pictures"

Now press enter.


Thats it ! Your folder is now hidden, if not check for possible typing errors.

Hidden folders are invisible in search results.

To unhide,

Simply use the same command but replace '+' with '-'
(For eg : "attrib -s -h E:\Pictures" )
